NEET 2024: Exam Pattern, Subjets, Mark Scheme, Section-wise No. of Questions

The National Medical Commission (NMC) NEET-UG exam syllabus 2024. This course outline will serve as the foundation for the NEET 2024 question paper. Every section/subject in NEET 2024 will have a choice in Section “B,” per the NTA’s decision. As a result, the NEET exam pattern 2024 is divided into two parts. Each subject contains two sections:

  • 35 Questions in Section A
  • 15 Questions in Section B

Candidates could attempt any 10 of the 15 questions that were included in Section B. As a result, there are still the same amount of questions overall.

An additional 20 minutes were added this time, bringing the total time for NEET-UG 2024 to 200 minutes. Only the first 10 tested questions from section B will be evaluated if a candidate attempts more than 10 questions.

The following list outlines the newly incorporated topics in the NEET UG Biology Syllabus for 2024:

  1. Family (Malvaceae, Cruciferae, Leguminoceae, Compositae, Gramineae)

It is worth noting that while some of these topics are not included in the new NCERT Biology Book, students are advised to study them from the old NCERT textbooks and seek assistance from external resources and their teachers.

It is important to highlight that no entire chapter has been removed from the NEET Biology syllabus for 2024. Only specific Class 11 and 12 Biology syllabus topics have been excluded.

Important Note: “insect” in the second topic is a typo in the revised Biology NCERT. The correct word should be “frog”.
